HEAL is an all volunteer non-profit based in southeastern Wisconsin. We have no paid staff.

Brooke Cutler

Board President

Brooke has lived in many areas of the world where she has engaged in community service including England, Belgium, France, and Mali in West Africa. She has a degree in French and political science and spent 20 years raising children before starting HEAL: A New Beginning for Refugees and working full time sponsoring refugees alongside raising her kids. Every day of her life is more full of joy because of knowing these beautiful families.

Kristen Gustafson

Board Member / Housing Specialist

Kristen is a Realtor & Relocation Specialist for ERA MyPro Realty. She has over 10 years of experience in helping people buy, lease and sell their properties. Kristen has enjoyed the opportunity to assist refugees in settling in and making Milwaukee & Wisconsin their new home.

Patrick Schwartz

Board Member

Patrick is an international business man who oversaw all the European Operations of Huntsman Chemical growing the business 10 fold, and then led the turnaround of a Huntsman business in Australia, finally leading the $1 billion global Styrenics business for them. Patrick served as a Mission President for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints and has been associated with finding and leading a number of businesses from that day to present. Patrick considers it a privilege to assist these families in regaining self-sufficiency and safety.

Spencer Cutler

Treasurer

Spencer has a PhD in Biomedical engineering from Duke University and by day designs CT Imaging systems for GE Healthcare. He is the treasurer for HEAL, provides technical expertise, and moves a lot of furniture.

Andrea Wheeler

Board Member

Andrea Wheeler studied English and art history at Brigham Young University, strengthening the communication and cultural understanding she now applies to refugee resettlement. As a full time mother, Andrea has a passion for nurturing and caring for individuals. She considers it a privilege to help families from around the world discover new opportunities and a sense of belonging in the United States.
